  • Technical Services Manager

    Technical Services Manager needs to understand the following at a deep level:

    1. Advanced routing;
    2. Switching;
    3. RF technologies and footprint mapping;
    4. LANs (including servers - DNS, DHCP, Web);
    5. Advanced power systems;
    6. Advanced troubleshooting;
    7. QOS and the mechanisms to create it;
    8. Mentoring more junior staff;
    9. Managing multiple priorities;
    10. Market conditions;
    11. Project management;
    12. Tower and POP construction.


    In Tough Country we need people who can live with the rigors our service areas provide. Technical skills are important, but so too are strengths around the following:

    1. Knowledge of the terrain;
    2. Ability to run snowmobiles, off-road vehicles and four wheel drives;
    3. Knowledge of the outdoors, and the ability to work safely in remote areas;
    4. Mechanical knowledge (especially power tools and troubleshooting motors);
    5. No fear of heights.
