Tough Country Communications

Mozilla Thunderbird 2

 
    To add a new email account:
  1. Open your E-mail Client "Mozilla Thunderbird 2"
  2. Go to "Tools > Account Settings..."

  3. Click "Add Account..." button at the bottom

  4. Make sure "Email account" is selected, click "Next"

  5. Enter the following with your own information:
    • Your Name: User Name
    • Email Address: username@toughcountry.net
    • Click "Next"

  6. Enter the following with your own information:
    • Select the type of incoming server you are using: POP
    • Incoming Server: mail.toughcountry.net
    • Click "Next"

  7. Enter the following with your own information:
    • Incoming User Name: username@toughcountry.net
    • Outgoing User Name: username@toughcountry.net
    • Click "Next"

  8. Enter the following with your own information:
    • Account Name: username@toughcountry.net
    • Click "Next", then "Finish" in next window.

  9. Select your new account, click on "Server Settings" and enter the following:
    (Set SSL first before changing port numbers, as it will change the port when selected)
    • Port: 995
    • Use secure connection: SSL
    • Incoming: mail.toughcountry.net
    • On the left hand side, click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)"

  10. Select "Add"
    NOTE:If you already have an outgoing server listed, highlight it and select "Edit"

  11. Enter the following with your own information:
    • Server Name: mail.toughcountry.net
    • Port: 465
    • Use name and password: Checked
    • User Name: username@toughcountry.net
    • Use secure connection: SSL
    • Click "OK"

  12. Click "OK".
