Windows Live Mail 2009

 
    To add a new email account:
  1. Open your E-mail Client "Windows Live Mail 2009"
          NOTE: If the screen says "Add an E-mail Account" when you start "Windows Live Mail", skip to Step #2.
  2. Click "Add e-mail account" on the left side.
    Email Configuration

  3. Enter the following with your own information:
    • E-mail Address: jsmith@toughcountry.net
    • Password: Your email password
    • Remember password: Checked
    • Display Name: John Smith
    • Manually configure server settings for e-mail account: Checked
    • Click "Next"
    4. Email Configuration

  4. Enter the following:
    (Set SSL first before changing port numbers, as it will change the port when selected)
    • My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
    • Incoming Server: mail.toughcountry.net
    • This server requires a secure connection: Checked
    • Port: 995
      Log on using: Clear text authentication
    • Login ID: jsmith@toughcountry.net
    • Outgoing Server: mail.toughcountry.net
    • This server requires a secure connection: Checked
    • Port: 465
    • My outgoing server requires authentication: Checked
    • Click "Next"

  5. Click "Finish"
